Not only is this band from New Zealand, these guys actually managed to get into their national charts with their latest album "Season for Assault" and they ended up in the top ten. If you now think 8 Foot Sativa have taken a warm, cuddly direction with this album, you are mistaken. „Breed The Pain“ is a death/thrash metal wrecking ball and it sounds very Swedish. The songs all sound like a mixture of The Haunted, Soilwork and In Flames, at times the whole reminds one of vikings of Amon Amarth: lots of riffs, melodic and still aggressive. The only thing is the variety: the songs are all very sophisticated, but very much alike. Still a nice piece of metal for fans of Swedish metal.
