The Ordher are a trio, hailing from Brazil and bringing some Brutal Death with them. The band has been formed back in 2005, after the bandmembers former bands Rebaelliun and Nephasth had been put to rest. In 2006 they released their first demo, followed by a full-length just one year later: "Weaponize". Brazil is a country, that´s well-known for the uncompromsing bands coming from there, just think of Krisiun - if you enjoy their stuff, you´ll also have fun with "Kill The Betrayer", that´s for sure. The first song "Progeny" kicks off already in a very fast paced manner, drums and boom, the guitars kick in, accompanied by brutal vocals delivered by Fabio Lentino. The fastforward brutality is "interruped" with some really heavily grooving parts, just to lead into blast madness, making you want to bang your head off already during the first song. After that "Whipped, Crowned And Dead" starts rolling in, slower, but still brutal and heavy. The vocals are not very varied, but that´s nothing you´d expect or demand on a Brutal Death Metal piece, would you? It´s standard Death vocals - not too heavy growling, but for sure powerful enough to keep up with the brutal stuff the instruments deliver. This mixture of straight forward passages, technical moments and heavily grooving parts, accompanied by more melodic guitars, is a recipe, that the Brazilians stick to throughout the record. That way every song alone works pretty well and makes the CD as a whole be a very pleasant listening experience - well, torture for some, pleasure for Death Metal addicts. In case you haven´t heard of them so far, love bands á la Krisiun and the like, you should definitely check them out! Brazilian Death Metal fury unleashed!
