The band info tells you that this Swiss quintet has been in the music business for a long time and want to make a point with this band founded in January 2009, now releasing their self-produced debut "One". That hints to the AOR style that is to be expected - only for people who can hardly bear Bon Jovi´s musical brutality. The band members unite their experiences and histories on this album, therefore Pop, Blues, Funk and hymn-like Hardrock-Ballads are mixing here, and you can hear some U2 influences (e.g. "Waiting For This Moment"), refined by the characteristic smoky voice of singer Isabelle Loosli. The opener "Down Under" raises the expectation of a classy Soft-Rock-Album, but unfortunately those expectations cannot quite be met. There is for example a pretty kitsch-chorus and a way-over-the-top Slide-guitar. Or one musical theme / a lyric line is repeated over and over and over again, until a basically good song becomes banal or even annoying. Besides Isabelle´s voice it´s therefore only because of ear candy like "Calling", "Why Don´t You Come" or those tracks already mentioned that takes "One" above the average...
