Never let it be said that Australia doesn´t have anything new to offer when it comes to rock music. Of course, everyone knows the big names like AC/DC, Airbourne or Rose Tattoo. But now those rock dinosaurs have found their heirs. Sunset Riot formed in Sydney in 2009 and since then they have already played more than 100 gigs. The five guys play rock´n´roll at its finest and by doing so, are on the best way to the very top.
With their second demo Sunset Riot it should be possible to raise the interest of some major record labels, too. They are definitely on the right track because their songs brim over with fun and that certain feeling of freedom and zest for life. Two songs on this five track demo stick out as real ear candy: Rattlesnake (you can watch the video here: http://www.sunsetriot.com/Sunset_Riot/Videos.html) and New Day, both will stick to your brain forever.
For me it´s pretty clear, sooner or later, there wont be a way around those guys anymore. When they do everything right, Sunset Riot will be the next Australian rock stars. Soundwise, they are there already.
