R.I.P. Jeff! Festivals cancelled: ROCK AM SEE (GER) takes a break in 2013 "lacking attractive headliners"; BURNING SEA in Croatia had to succumb to a new tax regulation; yet purchased BS-tickets can also be used to visit METALDAYS in Slowenia.

When Hardcore Superstar toured through Finland last winter, it wasn`t the first time that their fellow countrymen Ammotrack from Swedish town Skövde were their support act. Why Mikael De Bruin (Vocals), Patrik Gardberg (Guitar), Jonas Jeppsson (Bass) and Anders Franssohn (Drums) still have to wait for their breakthrough? Well, maybe because the clubs were still relatively empty during their stage time or people preferred to attend to their beer somewhere in the back at the bar. "That`s your own fault!" is the only thing one can say to those negligent gig goers cause on this CD the quartet sounds as convincing as on stage!
"Come Die With Us", the second album after their self-titled debut, is opened with the intro "Black Heart Frequencies", an instrumental composition with a nice heavy metal guitar part, which turns into "Life Is Calling". This track is pretty much "balls to the wall", a catchy song exactly the way you want it to be, and the same applies to the following "Hitman". Yeah, maybe "Hitman" even tops it all off. In any case, you are already in the midst of an explosion of rock/metal smashers where one catchy song follows another. Without any doubt: The Scandinavians have a knack for catchy tunes, and the two singles "Living Like An Angel" and "Come Die With Me" aren`t exceptions to this rule either. The only ballad is the final "Let Your Dream Decide" - and the band, who formed in the summer of 2004, is proficient even in this repertoire. Embarrassing corniness? Not on "Come Die With Us"!
"Good things come to those who wait": A motto that will hopefully become true when it comes to the breakthrough of Ammotrack. Sooner or later, the more than deserved success simply must come... Life is calling - and so is the breakthrough!
