Simply beautiful Prog-Rock - just the right music for melancholic moods. The Finns THE CHANT continue what they started with "Ghostlines" in 2008 and "This is The World We Know" (2010) here with their third album "A Healing Place", and they have developed and refined their sound. The majority of the songs were recorded by THE CHANT themselves and showcase a band going deeper into an even more layered sound. Atmospheric tunes, etheric keyboards, complex rhythms in a dialogue with heavy guitars and some powerful punch, it all held together with this tender voice (Ilpo Paasela) - ear candy with a twist and a good portion of melancholy. Just the right soundtrack for days drowned in autumn mists which are coming up soon... So in case you´ve never heard of those seven guys+girl from Helsinki, but you are a big Opeth, Katatonia or Anathema fan, you got to have this one.
