This band from Atlanta, Georgia has released a new album after quite a long break. Magnapop are still making their usual brand of light-hearted, upbeat rock. We are reminded of their debut album, which was produced by none other than Michael Stipe of R.E.M. As mentioned before, don't expect anything new from Linda & Ruthie. Plain, simple songs. You either love or hate Magnapop. But the band doesn't really care either way. Like Michael Stipe said: “Magnapop are like a cross between AC/DC and the Young Marble Giants.“
