Reach Us Endorphine is a metalcore band from South Tyrol. The five guys - Alexander Stein (vocals), Aaron Puntajer (bass, 2nd vocals), Jonas Rabensteiner (guitar), Markus Aichner (guitar) and Stefan Gantioler (drums) - caught greater attention during the International Live Award 2009, when they ranked 11th place out of more than 1,000 bands. More live performances followed; this year, for example, they had shows in Schlüchtern (Germany) and Brixen (Italy) and very recently at the Rock im Ring festival (Italy). In addition, they released their debut album.
So, what to do with this disc? First of all, listen to song number six, Fuel of Confidence, which stands for the whole album. You get a very good impression of the style of the band, the drummer´s strengths, and the alternating highlights of guitar riffs and harmony in the two voices. Both voices are set especially well into spotlight in the ballads Behind Illusions and Addicted. Neoplasia is also an outstanding song as the lyrics are in German and the rhymes are rather shouted than sung. Next, you should also listen to the first five songs. I have to admit that I found them unspectacular at first, but once I was positively impressed by the later songs, the same impression continued when I listened to the album again. I also recommend to, very carefully, listen to 24 Hours and maybe put the message into action: “Sometimes it´s better to stay in bed…”
