Find Me is another band, formed by Frontier boss, Serafino Perugino. Always looking for the latest Melodic Rock sensation, it has become a custom at Frontier to get together members of different bands to write an album. But is this really the recipe for success? I donīt think so, because, in most cases, these bands are just one-hit-wonders. They release one, maybe two records, they only rarely, if at all, perform live hence, itīs almost impossible for them to build a solid fanbase. Whatīs worse, itīs always the same people, as is the case also for this project, who have their finger in the pie: Sören Kronqvist (Crash the System, Sunstorm) and Erik Martensson (Eclipse, W.E.T. Jimi Jamison). Both are, without doubt, unbelievably talented musician and songwriters, as are the two main figures of Find Me, Daniel Flores (Issa, The Murder of My Sweet, Seventh Wonder) and singer Robbie LaBlanc (Blanc Faces), but unfortunately, always putting the same people in charge also inevitably leads to the fact that everything sounds similar. This way, there is no fresh breeze sweeping in the scene, which it is, however, badly in need of. I guess success canīt be forced, especially not in this scene and not in this way.
But nevertheless, Find Meīs record titled Wings of Love is a real gem. Nice melodies that you canīt get enough of and songs, which you instantly like but, sadly, donīt remember. For my taste, the songs miss a certain uniqueness. But I really must mention that singer, Robbie LaBlanc, is doing an awesome job. Vocal-wise, heīs one of the best Melodic Rock singers thatīs for sure. This record surely is something for Melodic Rock fans who like to listen to a great Melodic Rock record but donīt mind to listen to songs that sound all too familiar.
