Phonodrive have been working hard for years in a pragmatic way. The most known contribution of this German band was 2003 the title-track for the ARD TV series „Klassentreffen“. „I don´t care“, you might say. Wrong. Because Phondrive´s quality appeals also live on stage, no matter if in Deutschland, Scandinavia or Australia.
Their second album „Music“ is – well - great. Alternative Popmusic à la Cardigans with similar setting: hard guys who play their instruments and a femal voice who sounds innocent and provocative at the same time, so you just have to listen. „Music“ is at its best with more sophisticated yet rocking songs, just like the opener „Think About“ or the great „Suddenly“. Phonodrive succeed in combining commercially useful and high quality and offer something for everybody without compromises. Phonodrive transformed the „Norah Jones- phenomenon“ into their genre, „Music“ is something for Metal and 50 Cent-Fans as well. Beautiful.
