“New-old” Michael Schenker has all the right to tell stories of Rock´n´Roll – having just celebrated 25th anniversary of his career. So the album is not just a package of great good-oldschool-traditional-hard-rock tunes (guitar solos are simply terrific!) and an awesome tutorial material for the youngsters, but it´s also a significant experience-share of this fantastic guitarist´s work.
The album complies 18 full songs and a lovely lively short instrumental guitar-lead solo, which I enjoyed the most – like at the end of a lengthy manuscript the artist signed it with his own trademark – a stunning solo.
Otherwise there is a lot more to listen out for. Sir Schenker´s band has changed numerous vocalists, but none were forgotten during the long 25 years and on this anniversary record all 6 ex-frontmen (Graham Bonnet, Gary Barden, Robin McAuley, Kelly Keeling, Leif Sundin and Chris Logan) returned, each contributed wholeheartedly to this virtuoso-guitarist´s record. The current singer, Finnish export Jari Tiura is doing his job just as passionately as Mr. Schenker´s playing the guitar, so overall a really solid sound and well-thought-through piece of quality Rock´n´Roll.
