Disengage from Cleveland are applying for a life after death and they are doing it with an album, of which the style is hard to assign to any one category. It starts off like a hardcore album, but later on turns into a rocky, alternative, often stoner rock sound. The band combines a dark atmosphere with discomfortingly calm passages and solid rock songs – unfortunately the album doesn’t really provide any memorable moments to lift it above average. The album itself isn’t bad and very diverse, but it doesn’t convey any sort of spark.
