After those boring days at home, with only this icehockey championship to watch on TV and getting angry about the fact that battles you would like to see were not shown, there was finally something to do. Zak Stevens, one of the most gifted Metal singers, came back to town with his band.

The Prowlers

This band was born in Rome, in bella Italia, and you might think of amore, Pizza, Spaghetti, sun, sandy beaches and the sea. But you immediately think of something else when you hear this Hard Rock, Power Metal of those boys. Catchy tunes and a singer who gives everything to impress the Circle II Circle fans - and they indeed pull it off. More photos in the photogallery, link above!

Manticora

Those Danes have a much harder sound and get the crowd headbanging with their fine Progressiv-Power-Metal. You can see and hear that this band is a well-trained team. There are no selfish solo-musicians or a singer of that kind, there is just harmony which adds also a very sympathetic feeling. the only thing to complain about could be the fact that singer Lars Larsen had difficulties to hold the tones and could hardly be heard sometimes - caused by strained vocal chords during this tour. But he made up for it with his presence and charisma. A really great show. More photos in the photogallery, link above!

Circle II Circle

If you have seen a band many times, it´s getting more and more difficult to write without repetitions, especially when a singer like Zak Stevens is involved. Because watching him and his band is always a pleasure. Zak is a perfectionist, also in terms of presentation. He re-lives his songs over and over again on stage, there is so much feeling, pain and passion. And even if you have seen him performing a hundred times, it will be presented as intense and moving as the very first time. His fellow musicians are definitely first-class, too, and when they came back on stage for the encore, we receive a special treat. Only with keyboards played by Paul Michael Stewart, Zak Stevens shows once again his vocal skills, and when whispering „Watching in Silence“ into the microphone, the whole crowd is simply baffled and blown away, no doubt!
