A young girl (Madison Davenport) is left emotionally hanging from the divorce of her parents (Jeffrey D. Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick) and goes to a flea market, where she finds a finely cut, mysterious jewel box, which is locked. What she doesn´t know, is that the box is inhabited by a demon and cursed by a rabbi. Upon opening the casket, she is possessed by the demon. She becomes aggressive and paranormal activities surround her and her big sister can´t figure out the reason behind it all. After modern medicine fails to find cause or cure, they seek help from a rabbi. As a whole, there isn´t much new to offer from behalf of the film, but the actors give their best and within the horror genre, the film can be classified as okay. The film offers a lot of cliches and little of the unexpected, but as a whole, it is well produced. „Possession“ is made for a grim November evening spent by the fans of the genre.
