German Hardrockers BERSERKER will donate 18.000€ to the Berlin cancer charity for children on May 25. November 2011 BERSERKER front man Schröder was diagnosed with cancer, now he is cancer-free. In 2012 the band collected money for this charity at their concerts and will also continue to do so in the future. Slayer´s Jeff Hanneman is dead: he passed away at about 11AM on May 2nd near his Southern California home because of liver failure due to an infection after a spider bite. R.I.P. Jeff!

For a few years now, the Unity-Tour has been traveling around Germany and in the meantime, this event has really established itself in the metal and hardcore scene. This year they kick off again with a big name, Agnostic Front. We’ve seen them many times before, but aren’t these guys always worth seeing?
The Metal Club Odinwald invites to a collective going-ballistic and subsequent chill-out for a mere 10 euro fee, at the old power station Neckargemünd near Heidelberg. I drive by the location only twice, because it is indeed very poorly lit, and as I enter the venue, Dagor have already begun.
It wasn´t certain that this gig is going to happen at all, because some days earlier a show in Lappajärvi had to be cancelled, as J. Ahola wasn´t fit yet after catching a throat infection. Luckily some days of rest after the Tampere gig were enough and the band could confirm this show in the afternoon.
AIRBOURNE had been praised in recent weeks as well as their new album „No Guts No Glory“, from which some teasers were enough to get on a trip to Vienna, just to find out for yourself.
First support act were BLACK SPIDERS and this is a band to be remembered: Solid Metal and a remarkable drummer with his very own style. ... more/mehr
