W.A.S.P. and Def Leppard are the names that pop up listening to the first chords of "Idols Are Dead" from Bologna, Italy. A new band, formed from the line-up remains of Electrocution (Death/Thrash) and Folder (Crossover), that presents its debut here. And to say it right away, as a first studio output this CD is very good and professional. Great choruses, partly Pantera riffing (and voice), pretty heavy and grooving, partly snotty Glam - even the very melodic opener "This Is Not The End" is sticky ear candy in 80s Metal revival style, followed by the fantastic "Let´s Do It" - Megadeth goes Sleaze... This high level, however, cannot be hold up for the whole length of the album, somehow those 9 songs sound too much alike and don´t really lift off. A pity because this is indeed a good album, perhaps the song material would have needed only some more time for fermentation.
