Audrey Horne are considered to be one of the biggest musical surprises in the last years. While their guitar players Ice Dale and Thomas Tofthagen are known from their engangement in Black Metal bands like Enslaved, SAHG and I, vocalist Toschie and drummer Kjetil Greve are more or less undescribed musicians. But surprisingly the sound of this quartett has nothing in common with Black Metal, as you might think at first. Instead it is nice to see that there are still Black Metal musicians who do not have hesitations to play other sorts of music. Because this one is 100% classic Hardrock.
The 11 compositions are timeless and show Audrey Hornes talent for nice melodies and perfect arrangements. This, combined with their mystical, dark lyrics makes Audrey Horne the perfect weapon against bad mood. So it is clear that the guys from Bergen are considered to be a big hoeful in the Norwegian music scene. A band of which we can expect great things in future!
