The Hardcore/Punk quartet from Wien, Austria has released a new album, “Heart to Grow” and it isn´t bad at all. Considering that this is their third real album and that they have toured Europe twice and got as far as America and Canada, they have the skill and experience to make it to the big stages.

The album starts off with a good question: “Do you ever get the feeling that everything has been completely fucked up?” One of the strong points in the band is that every band member sings and there are moments where they all do it simultaneously. More so, the lyrics can be hard to understand acoustically or written down but, they are worth looking into.

Just about all of the songs are well written, catchy and pumped full with energy and many of the riffs go more in the direction of hard rock. There is a typically punk balance between the melodic riffs and the raspy vocals, which play a big role in tracks, like “Southwards.” It has a pub environment to it and as such it would work quite well live; actually the energy within pretty much all of the songs gives them a high potential for live performances.

There are, however times, when the music leans more in the direction of pop, e.g. Carne(t)vores ATA. There is also a distinct feeling of comfort when they sing in their native tongue; after hearing “Man Will Oder Nicht,” the rest of the vocals sound ever so slightly out of place.

It is also worth mentioning that the acryl artwork is also optically pleasing. In a nutshell, the album is tightly packed and authentic. There is massive potential for the band to make it huge as long as they have a bit of luck and good promotion. I never heard of a good Hardcore/Punk band that came from Austria, but hey, there´s always room for one!
