That there would be a corresponding offering in audio and vision to their reunion tour was as clear as a value-added tax increase. But what the heck! In any case, this DVD is not only fun for nostalgics. It´s a sheer delight to see exceptional guitarist Alex Skolnick play again outside of the jazz sector. The setlist is, of course, exclusively riddled with in part rarely played classics from their height up to and including “The Ritual”. Quality of sound and picture is not for the audiophilicly inclined one but at least it´s authentic. The bonus material with only a few short interviews leaves a lot to be desired.
