Velvet69 – just the band name says it all. And a look at their band photo or the album cover: The Swedes present themselves with a lot of make-up and style, very colourful is also their musical mix – Glam, Goth and Industrial, and I assume this might be the right sound to succeed in the German Club scene. Therefore it is difficult to believe that this quartet - Anthony Hunter (Vocals/text/music) Dixxi (Guitar/music/programming) Johan (Drums), Dennis (the menace, Bass) – still has not found a record company yet. Because the music features this certain something, even the rather Glam opening song have an edge. If the cool cover version of J.J. Cale´s “Cocaine” has not convinced you yet, go for “Don´t” that seems to be by Master Manson himself, or the Nine Inch Nails/Pain/Rob Zombie influenced tracks “I Love You More Than God” and “God Damn Bored”.
