Seven years in the service of Metal, 2 CDs and 2 MCDs written, recorded, produced and released by the band, now the quintet from Tampere attempts a new start with their fifth – elaborately designed – output, featuring a new singer Jukka Ruostila, who according to band info ended up with MyFate just by chance. His wide range of expression – growls and screams but also clean vocals – has the band stick out of the mass of Finnish Melodic Death Metal acts. „Upstream“ offers an aggressive opening – and reminds you of Pantera – but then the genre rather drifts off into progressive ear candy, with a touch of Nu-Metal. „Drifting in Shadows“ even dares to explore the genre „Metal ballad“ but has a quite heavy outcome. „Noise Machine“ is the track I like best, and Jukka can express his skills – diverse, aggressive, but still catchy. Well, actually you could describe the whole MCD like that... thumbs up!
PS: What is the reason they don´t have a record deal yet?
