A quite progressive third output of the US songwriter Kristeen Young, which mainly concerns the line-up: Young, piano and vocals, BabyJeff White, drums. The songs, though, have a rather catchy quality, despite the fact that some harmonies and rhythm patterns are far from the conventional recipie. Kristeen Young has an intense, almost hypnotic vocal style, her performance reminds you of Kate Bush (even sometimes the voice), sometimes also of Nina Hagen. Fans of those female musicians mentioned should put this CD immediately on their shopping list anyway, and all the others should give it at least a try.
