This mysterious one-man-project releases a kind of music that has nothing to do with whatever you might think of hearing the word “Australia”. Inspired by Norwegian Black Metal, Striborg remains dark, sinister, creating atmospheric sounds that do not really fit into the common category of “song”. Well, there are lyrics – grim visions of loneliness and void - but those growl vocals are distorted and rather in the background so that it´s more like an additional aspect in the soundtrack of a Horror movie. The pure musical version of “the Ring” or “The Grudge”. Who likes Xasthur or Mütiilation can also buy this one.
