After „Nord Nord Ost“, composition-wise a solo run of guitarist/string instrumentalist Ingo Hampf, STS chose another way to work. „Bastard“ became a 100% band album with widely scattered song writing credits. Was this the wrong way? First of all, you have to notice that the previous album seemed a bit more cooled down. And in my opinion the amount of hits on „Nord Nord Ost“ was bigger than on „Bastard“. But also the new songs are far from just average level. And with songs like „Meine Seele brennt“, „Puppenspieler“, „Auf Kiel“, „Die Trommel“ or „Tanz auf dem Vulkan“ also this time songs are featured that will cause total party mood at concerts. For sure! Therefore you can just confirm that Subway to Sally are great also working as a team. Let´s see what will happen in the future.
