This band has been existing for 10 years, and now the Gothic Metallers Azmo (git), Lord Lomhold (bass, back voc), Stephanie Luzie (voc) and Shadrak (drums) present their second long player Nova. Stephanie Luzie should be known in the genre already as the voice of Darkwell. Singer Matthias Hechler (Crematory) also has a guest appearance. And the category Gothic Metal describes pretty well what to expect: The rather classical type, very melodic-bombastic with alternating female and male voices, a bit more symphonic than e.g. Within Temptation or Evanescence. The majority are great Songs, with “Riven” as real ear candy. The interaction of the elements fire, water, earth and air is the theme of this album. Therefore this strange Disco-hit cover (“Crucified”) is somewhat out of place... Who feels that the new Nightwish is missing the Opera-touch and who likes the bands mentioned, should go and get this CD.
