Lord Bishop hails from New York and he apparently likes to rock in his free time – for example in a recording studio somewhere in Hungary. This session resulted in a few “dirty jams” that can be best described as funk and blues with some more rock-y elements. And like a real bishop the lord preaches in his “do-gooder” songs about freedom, politics, war and of course the love isn´t overlooked either. The whole record sounds a little bit too much like studio music, there´s no real live feeling coming across and that although the lord, according to himself, lives only for the stage. A bit more soul wouldn´t have done any harm.
