Pagan Metal is pretty hip at the moment and the new trend in the Metal scene.
The likeble Swiss Eluveitie might have their breakthrough with their new album Slania, featuring perfect Pagan/Viking Metal mixed with traditional Death Metal style, that can easily compete with genre celebrities like Amon Amarth, Finntroll or Bathory.
After several line up changes this band from the Alps features 8 ambitious and talented musicians who play besides classical Metal instruments also Hurdygurdy, violin, flute and mandola. No need to mention that it works.
The album is differentiated, melodic and hymnic. So what´s left to get started - on the way to Walhalla...
