Sometimes you receive "strange" stuff for reviewing. Like in this case, I just got "Revoiced" from the German Progmetal band DREAMSCAPE and this is not a new album, no, but a re-release of a best of album from 2005.
Well, they put some additional stuff on this re-relase such as the video for "When The Shadows Are Gone" and one new song from the upcoming 2008 album "Breathing Spaces".
For all of you out there, who have never heard of DREAMSCAPE itīs surely a good album to get into this band, since it contains songs from the first two albums, that have been sung by two different vocalists and have now been re-recorded with the actual vocalist. For all others this CD release seems kind of strange, Iīd say.
According to the quality of the songs thereīs surely nothing to complain about, progressive Metal as it should be and great for fans of DREAM THEATER, CIRCUS MAXIMUS (with which theyīre currently on tour now - by the way) and the like. So a good album, but no rating since itīs a re-release.
