Regardless of the critics ridiculing the optimistic, cheerful sound of Freedom Call as the Modern Talking of metal, Chris Bay, Dan Zimmermann and Co. continue to go their own way and with "The Circle Of Life" once again created an album that will get any listener that can appreciate fanfare-like keyboards, positive melodies and chorusses in good spirits.

The opening song "Mother Earth" convinces with its dramatic melody line and touching refrain, combined with a for this band hard riff. "The Rhythm Of Life" features modern guitars and progressions, surprisingly, and it really suits the band. It also has a catchy refrain and a riff that's very suitable for posing. "Kings & Queens" is based on a unbelievably positive sound with dominant singing. "Hero Nation" is also very convincing with its break beats, mood changes and a very catchy refrain, of which the lyrics might be explained as naive by the critics, but which support the overall sound of the band. The title track and last song of the album "The Circle Of Life" demonstrates once again the talent Freedom Call have for epic, monumental songs. Solid keyboards here and there, cliches, kitsch, thumbs up for Freedom Call!
