An absolutely promising single by this Dutch band. The Devils Blood are pretty young, being formed in 2006, but they sound as if a time machine has brought them over directly from the 70s. Perhaps this is the reason why the band members hide behind abbrevations... raw, earthy, and so fucking psychedelic at the same time, as if Led Zeppelin and Blue Öyster Cult were their godfathers. The voice of F. makes you wonder if it´s a male or female behind the microphone, but still there´s nothing annoying about that. On the contrary, it just adds to the hypnotic feeling, with the sound and the groove – I´m already looking forward to the longplayer.
