Rock´n´roll was certainly not newly invented by Airbourne. Four hard rockers who come from sunny Australia, two of them are brothers, hard- and bluesrock with a lead- and a Rhythmguitar is played, well, this sounds´indeed so very familiar. And with the first chords, who does not think of AC/DC - I correct: AC/DC on speed - has slept throughout the 80s in a deep freezer. "Runnin´ wild" is an album to be enjoyed best with a few beers and friends in the bar. And, therefore, Airbourne call it also: "Straight-ahead Aussie pub rock". The boys from Melbourne themselves play so full of power and s o dynamically, so that those eleven songs of their longplayer are already finished after 36 minutes. And I feel that this as a high-quality marker. Keep it short and simple!
