“Kaoskult” is already the sixth album of Viking metal band Helheim from Bergen. The band is already around for 16 years, so everyone who likes this kind of music should at least have heard about them. If you haven’t then now it’s time to get acquainted with them.
“Kaoskult” is, however, a little different than the last five albums. It’s better! The band has clearly evolved. Already with their last release ”The Journeys and the Experiences of Death” there were signs of a more epic style; “Kaoskult” is more melodic but at the same time also brutal, fast and raw. A perfect mix! And another positive surprise is the language: once again they sing in Norwegian.
The album can be recommended to everyone who appreciates good, creative black metal with Viking metal influences.
