Tripping Horse are the attempt to rock and to ´stone´ , but this one does not succeed. Of course the guitars are smashing, but that is not enough for a good record.
According to their label that now re-released the record, the band got good reviews in various metalmagazines and looks back on a tour in Guatemala.
The four Austrian are ambitious, no doubt, but I think they have to put the horse on the pasture for a while, otherwise it will fall.
A few good tracks you can find on ´Tripping Horse´ , but also on those, the voice of the singer ( Manuel Leal-Garcia ) disturbes. - Even if you have the same surname, you will not become John Garcia!
Anyway, somehow the Tripping Horse-Puzzle does not match. Maybe the guys should change their way and make something different and better not try to copy styles. And they are young, so we can hope for that.
´Tripping Horse´ have potential, but the realisation has failed.
