Attention, the Russians are coming!
Namely with an little epic record called Transition. Tightly packed with all the pieces that belong to the Gothic-Black Metal area. Also a little bit doomy they come along and they do it well. It is not bad what THE SUNDIAL has produced: piano-pieces, synthi-sounds, the typical screaming of Dimitrii and the glass-clear voice of the beautiful Anastacia Kuznetsova, beside the rough guitars and the doublebass. And th
ere is also a track played in dark wave manner.
Many years ago a friend of mine showed me "the secrets of the black art" ( dark funeral ) and this sound and musical violence cannot be reached, I guess. And even THE SUNDIAL also donīt reach it, and never wanted to. Instead the five from Kaliningrad made an album in Gothic and Black, a good third record.
