Stylistically speaking, the new album “On the Strength of all Convinced” is compared to the predecessor “Good Night, Witness Light” more mature and only interesting for those who also like bands like Jimmy Eat World or Third Eye Blind. Well, we are talking about DAPHNE LOVES DERBY, a Washington-based pop punk combo. In detail, the songs are all composed to sing along and therefore equipped with catchy melodies so the fun factor is not affected. The washed-out sound of the threesome purls, however, a bit helplessly along.
In short, a good but at the same time split overall impression. Regrettably not worth more than 6,5 deer.
