Oh, shit! While albums like „Trash“ or „Hey Stoopid“ still had some kind of sugar icing the new album “Along Came A Spider” is a bit dull. I was a bit surprised that this old front man wants to enter the stage once again. A phenomenon like him, who trumped with great hits like “The Poison” or “House Of Fire” can only create something good. Well, what’s that? Do or don’t, Mr. Cooper. Well, on the one hand the appealing riffs are quite decent, on the other hand they don’t really find their place in the auditory canal. I am really sorry. I take my hat off to every musician who is able to release a silver disc which is made with his heart and soul. But this time nothing really happens. Although it comes along diversified, the certain dominance is missing. It may get some help from tracks like “Wake The Dead” or “Killed By Love” which in light of their refined facets bloody sound like the 80’s. Awesome! As far as the recording quality is concerned there are no worries at all, like butter on bread. The material needs a certain time to bloom.
