As an attachment a little abridgement from the information of the record label concerning the first full length album of the German band IO - Charles Simmons - Vox, Dennis Poschwatta - Drums, Henning Rümenapp - Guitar, Stefan Ude - Bass: "In modern style they present their first coup “for the masses” hopefully not the last one. Without adapting any kind of trend new sound walls are spread which create an amusing atmosphere." The twelve songs are really well made and powerful. “Attention” for example has an American touch. Furthermore it has a damn cool Chorus that won’t go out of your mind any more. “Mind Game” is especially in the last third a hit. From zero to 100 in a wink, with lots of quite cool parts. Finally they go to the limit with “Legacy”, which once more has a lot of power. Well, I’m curious if IO will be able to make another album on the same level. Fans of Alternative/Rock, go and buy it!
PS: Who finds some of the names in the line-up quite well-known - that´s right, Guano Apes...
