For “The Compound” a stylistic analysis is not necessary, because the foursome from the US show us a Cover Artwork of bright colors with graphic motives that is only in one way interpretable: it pegs them as a snotty, groovy, progressive Pop- Rock- Band. Mind you bands like these starting their career in mass these times and SEARCH/RESCURE set themselves apart from like- minded claimants not clearly but notable. And who digs up “Holding On” or” Great Big War” to implement them spiritually with a cool riffing has won me over rightly and can get his Brownie Point. If the guys stay at this level, they will have a great future.
