The third Raging Speedhorn studio album is exactly what could be expected of the six Brits: they stay true to their uncompromising hardness, the throats of Frank Regan and John Loughlin sound as usual, which means that on „How The Great Have Fallen“ the combination of these two provides a demontration of everything from cry to scream, forget about actual singing. The four other musicians present good work as usual, with a fair amount of double time, up-tempo parts and riffs. It's clear that at the moment their music is not so suitable to mosh to; it's more fidgety. But it's important to remember that Raging Speedhorn are absolute experts in their genre, and they prove that England can also produce a nice, hard sound. They present an excellent album and it somewhat makes up for the hype that was created at the time by the english musical press around their 2002 album „We Will Be Dead Tomorrow“. It won't hurt them to experiment with their sound a bit now and then, and „How The Great Have Fallen“ certainly manages to convince.
