It looks like carnival but doesn’t sound like it at all. Allowedly the Venetian carnival a la Ensoph does have more in common with Halloween, the music is though much more challenging than expected. The guys from Venice committed themselves to X-treme metal and dressed it up with Gothic-, Industrial- and Elektro- elements. This results in a fascinating costume in which Ensoph should somehow stand out on every kind of party. Producer Giuseppe Orlando busily tailored along with them in the Outer Sound Studios and it`s really worth slipping in this album at times. „Rex Mundi X-Ile“ surprises with beautiful piano- melodies and a hard sound seamed by the stitching voice of singer N-Ikonoclast, who as well seems to have many faces. The attentive ones amongst you may be taken aback by the bonus track, cause under the Ensoph- mask a cover version of Alice in Chains` „Would?“ is hiding, which gives a fancy new touch to the original. Who feels like jaunting into a new identity now should use this CD as a vehicle – it`s really exciting!
