The British THE LOYALTIES are a very special Punk/Punkrock Act – and they are anything but boring. Everything is fairly remastered and combined with an inventive sound in the way it is ought to be. The Tracks develop their level of dynamic and have become catchy without losing the melancholy, which is always there without question. Every kind of experiment is minimized, which redounds to the songs advantage here so they never sound boring or annoying. So the whole Album is the motto, which does not shine with over length, unfortunately. They could have included some additional tracks. Well, never mind! For the fast ones of our readers: “5 Aces” shows the whole spectrum of THE LOYALTIES’ skills in a really exciting way. Bands with an similar sound are in my opinion BACKYARD BABIES and THE HIVES, according to the more or less obvious Rock’ n’ Roll components.
It would be nice if they got the recognition they deserved, instead of being just another face in the crowd.
