Again one of those CDs that are difficult to be put into a category. How about Hybrid Metal?? Well, it´s perhaps closest to epic-atmospheric Black Metal, with Industrial Gothic ingredients and of course Scandinavian melancholy. The only comparison I can think of would be Samael during their "Passage" phase. This quintet from Finnish Jyväskylä has definitely created some ear candy with this self-produced debut album. Thematic concept of this 13-song-piece is the biblical creation tale, original sin and the human being as pawn in the conflict between God and Satan. When Harri Kauppinen´s vocals sometimes display a strong accent, it somehow fits in this context. By the way, only 333 CDs were made as the first edition, so if you want to get one of those "Semi-Evil" CDs you got to be quick.
