Doomenicus is a band from Foggia, Italy, founded 2001 which plays - well, guess... Doom-Metal, more precisely Christian Doom-Metal. Their self-produced full-length debut Sacred (containing material of their 2007 promo and the 2008 single Sacred) cannot capture me right away with the first track "Cold Embrace", because here Domenico Caruso sounds too much like Ozzy = too high, too whiny for my taste. But it doesn´t stay that way, the track Remember November finally convinces me, because here Signore Caruso displays so much Rock´n´Roll, passion and dedication in his - much deeper sounding - voice that it gives me the creeps. Therefore I can recommend this one to everybody who loves Black Sabbath with Ozzy, Saint Vitus and classical Candlemass.
