To be quite honest: Hardcore is not my cup of tea. But I really like the sound of the Munich based The Blackout Argument. Surprisingly because this bands history only dates three years back. I have rarely heard such a sense for cool hooklines, overwhelming choruses and well-thought, mature song structures of such a young band.

Most metalheads see the vocalists of Hardcore bands as the biggest weakness. To much screaming, not enough singing! But Raphael Schmid really manages to include both parts into his singing. Mostly aggressive verses, combined with melodic choruses and nicely fitting backing shouts. If Hardcore could always sound like this, I would really like it! More of this, please!
