The band name 400Colpi sounds, at least for non-Italian ears, a little strange but what do the musicians who are behind this project have to offer? Firstly, Homo Homini Lupus [Man is manīs wolf] is the debut album of these six guys from Italy, and secondly, the album contains many different styles (thrash, hardcore) plus Italian lyrics. Somehow, though, everything sounds just too messy and you canīt find the golden thread that would hold the record together. Furthermore, there a two singers which, however, you only realize when you have a look in the booklet cause you canīt really hear a difference. To summarize it in the words of Lrrr from the planet Omicron Persei 8: “Weīre reasonably satisfied (…). Overall, I would rate it a C+. OK, not great! As a result we will not destroy your planet.” 5/10 (KG)

The second opinion:
400colpi start with a good riff and keep on grinding. They really whack your ears, with a mixture of Metal and Hardcore, and those Italians prove that in Cesarīs country you need to unload anger and frustration. And they do it in an impressive way.
HOMO HOMINI LUPUS kicks ass with fast riffs and rhythm variations and fitting breaks. Nothing new but real good stuff. 28 exciting and destructive minutes.
All Songs are in Italian language, therefore itīs a bit difficult to find out what itīs all about. But this is not the point here. Melodic parts are contrasted with brutal double bass and anger. Absolutely entertaining!
9/10(HH), which results in

Kathleen Gransalke, Holger Hofmann
