Classical music and Rock have always had their cross-over moments, and this is a new variation. „Concerto In True Minor“ features JAMES LABRIE (vocalist of DREAM THEATER) and the 2 world-famous classical tenors THOMAS DEWALD and VLADIMIR GRISHKO as “The 3 Rock Tenors”, performing a "Best of" repertoire of the original 3 Tenors (Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, José Carreras). The TSR project involves an international team of artists and producers from Germany, Canada, Russia and the Ukraine, so the production is flawless, as well as the voices. Naturally it is a question of taste, I had much more preferred to get more of Puccini than e.g. ”Singing In the Rain” among those 21 songs, but who falls for this kind of style-mix, or who desperately misses the Opera-element in Nightwish, should give this one a try.
