Like before, GOD DETHRONED do not need to prove their skills. The play as fast as they want to. And this is (mostly) not fast. But they never came to the point of monotony of average Death Metal. They also get the groove that other bands are missing, who focus too much on truth and senseless razor-sounds.
It seems to me GOD DETHRONED is adult enough to make music without any digression. The new album gets faster to the point and has a red threat which does not disappear because of trips without orientation. “Passiondale” is wild and domesticated, evil and beautiful, crude and coaxing - in one word: interesting. And this is a rare thing in the Death/Black Metal genre. Go and listen!
