The Swedes RAM give us a really remarkable album with „Lightbringer“. Fresh and powerful they come along with ten ass-kicking songs. From the opener "Crushing The Dwarf Of Ignorance " it becomes crystal clear how the album will be. The Swedes like it heavy with lots of melodies and no fancy stuff included. Therewith it goes somewhere between Judas Priest and of course Iron Maiden who’s influence is sometimes not to talk away. Mostly the vocals are quite similar when singer Oscar Carlquist in almost all vocal levels reaches Bruce Dickinson’s sound. The songwriting does not to show big mistakes at this album, every song is on a high level. But a hit or something like this is missed here, too. Nevertheless something better than just good work was done here.
