Be greeted friends of riot music, today I would like to introduce to you a Black-/Deathmetalband from Sweden, which is in this country (unfortunately) not really known yet - The Cold Existence. The guys around singer and guitarist Jan Sallander have done everything right with her album Sombre Gates (released in March).
Their style is very individual and therefore difficult to describe. Much noise indeed. Hard Growls, infectious riffs and a baseline, which animates you to bang your head immediately! Everything what a metal-heart desires.
The sound of the disc is really excellent - very smooth, but also rough and filthy. This fits exactly in the apocalyptic mood. The Swedes sound like a mixture of Bloodbath and At the Gates with a pinch of Grind! Very melodic tracks in the chorus ripped up by a hammering Double-Base is the motto ;).
So if you do not know which CD you want to get next ... with The Cold Existence, you cannot do anything wrong in any case.
