„Prayer to Earth“ is Nastrandir´s second official release and the successor of their 2007 album „Zwischen Horizonten“, published already back then by Twilight. The band already played with bands like Moonsorrow, Tyr and Korpiklaani. This really is Viking Metal at its finest from Germany, the lyrics are about wild battles. One interesting thing about Nastrandir is that some of the texts are in German and there are even some Danish lyrics which makes it very unique. Recommended are the songs “Frei” and “Rise of Runes”. A great album of this Viking Metal band. With “Prayer to Earth” the Northern Germans probably will convince even the hardest critics of their last record who will be in for a real surprise when they hear the new one.
